Description
Photograph of a heavily loaded carriage in front of the Arcadia Hotel (Baldwin Ranch Hotel), ca.1908. The carriage is at right and is being pulled by a team of six light-colored horses at left. The horses are standing in two columns of three and have dark tack. There are eighteen people on the wagon, perhaps members of the Raymond party. The group includes men and women, and everyone is wearing a hat. The top of the Victorian-style hotel is visible above a line of trees at right. It has a covered balcony and a tall, narrow tower. The road on which the horses are standing is unpaved.
