Description
The silent film shows various scenes from an open lot in Stern Grove. There is an eight second delay between when the video starts, and when the scene starts playing. Two people dressed as clowns can be seen walking towards an open area with a crowd. There is a booth with a sign advertising the “Northern California Council of Amateur Movie Clubs”. Crowds of people are seen looking at art displays and mock movie sets, with accompanying actors to explain the scene. At multiple times, trained monkeys can be seen interacting with members of the crowd. Towards the end of the video, there is a beauty pageant occuring on a stage, with a line of women in one-piece bathing suits walking across the stage. The video ends abruptly with a grey screen, the same way it begins. Written on box: Photography day; Stern Grove; May 26, 1963; Carl Wacker/Guido; 8mm; WSF 50/24
