Description
Photograph of members of the Sunset Club aboard the boat "Fort Rosecrans" in San Diego from Coronado, ca.1908. Thirty-one men are gathered on the deck of the small vessel, and all of them are looking towards the camera. Some are seated on benches while others are standing under a canvas canopy. There is a small white dog in the foreground at left, and a large American flag is flying from a pole at the stern of the boat. The boat is still tied to the wooden dock. Back of photoprint lists: "Frank. Caurey. Kaepelli. Aches. Forshay. Parsons(?). Jas. Slausion. Stauding. Vedder (C.C. Danis [...]?). Jeane (T.K. Wiggins). Harry Brooke. Earle. Eisen(?). (with hat off). Byrne. Geo. Stuart. McKee(?)".
