Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated February 21, 1952 reads, "A 23-year-old blonde, Jennie Lee, described by her press agent as "the gal with the most tremendous bust in the entertainment world, a voluptuous 42," was scheduled for jury trial on indecency charges today in the court of Municipal Judge Lewis Drucker. Deputy City Attorney William Haight charged that Miss Lee participated as an actress in obscene and indecent movies made by Joseph Leonard Ackerman, 40, of 7508 Irvine Street. Ackerman was arrested Dec. 7 for making the pictures with suggestive titles, pleaded guilty, and faces sentence next Wednesday. He was called as a prosecution witness against Miss Lee who lives at 1918 North Western avenue. She was described by her attorney, Bentley Harris, as a one-time diving champion who is putting her husband through college. Harris said Miss Lee's acting was "pure art," and he challenged "police censorship."
