Photograph caption dated July 8, 1961 reads "Leastwise it is for Gary Sharrar, left, who finds a $500 Savings Bond in one of the holes of the bowling ball he used in rolling a perfect game at Van Nuys Bowl. The reward, being presented by donor Fred Lenz, reminds Tim Monahan, center, that only he, Sharrar and Hoss Yomtob ever have tossed sanctioned 300 games at Van Nuys Bowl."
