Photograph caption dated March 24, 1958 reads "Police Sgt. F. G. Plamondon and home owner J. J. Byrnes check width of crack in earth on hill above his house at 14423 Mulholland Dr., Sherman Oaks. Crack is widening at rate of six inches an hour and threatens to unleash 40 to 60 tons of earth on two expensive homes below."; See images #00126783 through #00126784 for all photos in this series.
