Photograph of a portrait of Ysidro Reyes, [s.d.]. Mr. Reyes is shown from his upper torso to his head and is turned to the right, although his eyes are facing the camera. He is wearing a dark suit, white shirt and dark tie. He has a thick black mustache and thinning dark hair. He lived in Santa Monica Canyon and his father worked a large tract of land extending to what is now Hollywood. He was sent by his father to the Brea pits to sell tar to the Los Angeles people who used it for their roofs.
