Photograph was edited for publication purposes; Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph article dated August 17, 1963 partially reads, "Firemen today patrolled the sites of two more Newhall area brush fires which blackened 160 acres before being brought under control. The blazes charred 150 acres of foothill brushland in Placerita Canyon near Placerita Canyon State Park and 10 acres in hills near the North Oaks housing development in Soledad Canyon. Ground crews working with four aerial tankers extinguished the fires before any structures were threatened. No one was injured in either fire."
