Joan Crawford at what appears to be a film premiere. She is wearing an ornate brooch and bracelets. Photograph dated February 18, 1939.; Photograph also used for an article dated May 27, 1948; it reads, "Actress Joan Crawford loses $50,000 brooch." The next day, the brooch was found by a night club waiter, who considered it worthless, and returned to Crawford with the help of Det. Sgt. G.B. Gourley.
