A number of commercial buildings line the right side of the photo, while the wide, unpaved road fills the left side of the frame, where a streetcar can be seen moving along its tracks. Pedestrians stroll the sidewalks, window-shopping. A large building in the background bears the sign "Peck & Chase Co. / Undertakers". Other legible signs include: "[...] Coca-Cola For Sale Here", "America's Favorite [...]", "Cigars", "[...] Silver Collars [...]", "Dancing" and "[...] Lopez".
