The man is standing near a large circular hole behind the truck at center and appears to be writing something down. He is wearing a hard hat and boots. Beyond the truck, a large pit is being dug out by a steam shovel at right. Several automobiles can be seen parked on a dirt ramp at left. In the background at right, three small stands of palm trees are visible. A row of tall buildings encircles the construction area in the background.
