Ampex "A" Series tape deck with top plate removed and second mu-metal shield cover for head assembly removed -- revealing the individual mu-metal shields for each head structure. (Heads from left to right) -- Erase, Record -- Playback (in-line) for reproducing half-track, full-track, or Stereophonic tapes. NOTE: The extra heavy die-cast base plate frame that assures accurate tape tracking regardless of abuse, and heavy capstan flywheel, volume level indicator, tape position indicator, and constant tension tape holdback device which are prominently pictured.
