Visible portion of the greatest submerged dam in the world, built in 1888. It is 600 feet long and has average depth of 60 feet, only 2 or 3 feet of which is above ground surface. Dam extends down to and connects with bedrock, entire distance across bed of stream. This view is of the remains of the original submerged dam and irrigation system.
