Photograph caption dated April 27, 1989 reads "Lucille Ball with Bob Hope at last month's Oscars, one of her last public appearances." Comedian Lucille Ball appeared with Bob Hope on stage at last month's Academy Awards show at the Shrine Auditorium in one of her last public appearances before she died Wednesday morning at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. She was 77.
