Description
Image of Mary Slessor's grave on Mission Hill Duketown, Calabar. The grave is covered with red and blue flowers and a corrugated iron building can be seen in the background.
Mary Slessor was a Scottish missionary known for her work in Africa and for promoting women's rights. She died in Use in 1915 and was buried on Mission Hill in Duketown where she first landed in Africa in 1876. A granite cross from Aberdeen was later erected at the site.
