Description
Photograph shows initial stages of construction of Sacramento Valley Sugar Company in Hamilton City, Glenn County. One of the railroad camps on the Townsite [of Hamilton City]. We're doing out utmost to push the completion of the railroad and have three camps like the above, and are working 480 head of stock and 120 men on the grade beside which the railroad has a large force laying track. [To accompany MSS001 held in Special Collections, Meriam Library.]
