Image of a leaflet, originally folded, advertising tickets for sale by E. Fox & Co. for the Louisiana State Lottery drawn on July 11th, 1893 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Recto includes a chart listing the number of gifts and amount of money awarded in the drawing. Verso is two folded pages, printed in blue, the left page includes prize and date information for the Louisiana and Mexican Lotteries, and the right page includes information about drawings held January through June. Image on the left page includes a decorative title reading, “Nearly a million dollars distributed by us last year; this year we will distribute more than a million dollars in prizes.” Below the title is an image of a woman shown holding up a coin while surrounded by piles of coins and bundles of cash. The right page of the leaflet shows images of seven scrolls of paper with text about the drawings and months overlayed on the scrolls. The scrolls are all tied to one another with a string that is tied with two tassels. Decorative scrollwork is shown vertically across the scrolls of paper. “The Genuine Tickets are Signed by E.
