Photograph caption dated March 5, 1942 reads, “Here is one of the sidelights seen in Los Angeles’ ‘Little Tokio’ [sic] today as the Japanese prepare to evacuate. It is a sign which reads, “Please no talk war” sign in a drugstore.” Visible is the 1942 calendar from Angeles Coffee Co. hanging on the left and supplies for the soda fountain, seen on both sides of the cash register.
