Description: Men, possibly fire fighters, stand beside a hose shooting a stream of water skyward. Wording on the side of a two story building reads "Hanson's Shoe Factory, Boots And Shoes Made To Order, "Say Gear-ar-delly" Since 1852, Ghirardelli's Ground Chocolate".
Hanson's Shoe Factory lcoated at 1131 Alameda, appears in the 1927 San Jose Directory.
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
