Description
Reproduction from original (possibly daguerreotype) waist-length portrait. 2011-0174. Also have negative (from our copy): no. 7168 (5 x 4 in.) Son, Born in Ohio, came West in 1840's. Eventually settled near Placerville, owned Six Mile or Johnsons' Ranch. Was practicing attorney, served in the Assembly, 1855-56.
