Description
Annotation translation: "The scatterer of rice is standing in front of the small taboo-hut. With every important heathen festival offerings must be made to 'the evil things'. These are especially the homeles souls of the dead for whom, owing to lack of money, no funeral celebrations were held. They want to disturb the festivals out of jealousy and ill-will. During the Tiwah festival, the festival of festivals, offerings must be made three times in the little taboo hut. The first time is when the preparations for the festival begin. The second time is at the beginning of the festival. And the third time is at its end."
