Title supplied by cataloger. In 1973, Frank Robinson founded Robinson Helicopter Company, which employs about 1,200 employees. In addition to manufacturing helicopters, Robinson includes a research and development division, has an overhaul program to service older helicopters and offers educational courses for flight instructors and maintenance technicians. Photograph shows half a dozen helicopter components propped up against a metal table, waiting to be painted. To their left, two long, green rubber gloves hang from hooks. These parts will be installed on Robinson R44 helicopters at one of the plant's facilities at the Torrance Airport.
