Settled in Sacramento where operated in ranching, banking and public affairs. Owned ranch in Florin; served on Board of Supervisors of Sacramento County; organized Peoples Savings Bank of Sacramento; served as railroad commissioner, state fire commissioner. Married Nellie Sims. Died in 1920. John E.D. Baldwin estate.
