Sadness of Wékoné, the leper The Nata Wékone with his family. On the blackboard behind him is written: " Job, XIX, 21-22 The sadness of Wékone the leper, 10 March 1908 " Comment : Wékone, a native minister of Béthanie, affected by the leprosy. Knowing to be affected by the leprosy and knowing that he must be isolated, he asked Philadelphe Delord to come to photograph him at his home with his family. Use of document : Photograph published in Le Journal des Missions, 1910, p. 159 with the legend : "the sadness of Wekoné".
