Description
Photograph of a detail view of Berth #187 showing the "vacuum cleaner" method of unloading copra, dry coconut meat, in Los Angeles Harbor, [s.d.]. A large ship can be seen at left. Many lines, masts, and people can be seen on the ship. A tractor pulling four large bins can be seen on the dock to the right of the ship. A pipe-like contraption extends from the ship and appears to be dumping copra into the bins. A sign on a building in the right background reads, "Boiler House", while a sign at left behind the ship reads, "Catalina Terminal".
