Photograph article dated July 28, 1962 partially reads, "Dr. Ralph Richardson and Dr. Max Rafferty, clashing in head-on debate, today had agreed on one point: In the words of Richardson, 'There is a tremendous need for change in the educational system of this state.' The two debated Friday night before a jammed audience of 650 in the Reseda Masonic Temple, at a meeting sponsored by the Parents Advisory League and other ultraconservative West Valley organizations."
