Description
Letter from Maxwell Hardware Company in Oakland, California, dated September 15, 1910 regarding the price of powder compounds. The letterhead is illustrated with an ocean scene with several ships. The largest ship has the words Majestic Ranges above it and an illustration of a Majestic brand range on its sail. John P. Maxwell, proprietor of Maxwell Hardware Co., sold gas and electric fixtures as well as hardware. The letterhead also describes the company as the sole agents for Majestic Ranges, Coles Air Tight Heaters, Barlers Oil Stoves, Zero Refrigerators, and Russell & Erwins Fine Builders' Hardware.
