Description
John H. Francis Polytechnic High School opened in 1905, a satellite of Los Angeles High School. It is the second oldest high school in the city. Originally located in Downtown Los Angeles, in February 1957 Polytechnic moved to its present site at 12430 Roscoe Boulevard, in Sun Valley. Former Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley was an alumnus.
Photograph caption dated June 4, 1958 reads "Sandi Hanson, Judy Stanford, Rita Maley and Dee Raye Lundberg, from left, Polytechnic High School coeds, model outfits they wore in 'Summer Daydreams' fashion show recently. Planning event were Jean Haslerud, Pat McDonald, Colleen Sumida, Liz Butler, Pat Eissenger, Carolyn Quinby, Naomi Groveman and Marilyn Baldwin."
