This digital object includes select family photographs and documents from the original album assembled by Dr. Maria Teresa Venegas, daughter of Miguel and Dolores Venegas, to document her parents' history. In addition to immigration documents of Miguel and Dolores Venegas from Mexico, the family album primarily contains black-and-white photographs and some color photos of the Venegas family at play, at school, and at work in Los Angeles, California. It includes pictures of Miguel and Dolores (Lola) Venegas, their children José Miguel (Mike), Ricardo (Richard), Guillermo (William), Eduardo (Eddie), Juan Jose (Johnny), Maria Teresa (Teresita), Alfonso (Poncho), Jose Maria (Chema), Enrique Roberto (Henry), and Carlos Manuel (Charlie) Venegas, as well as their parents and siblings in Mexico. The photographs capture several decades of Venegas family history, ranging from the 1916 portrait of Miguel Venegas to the pictures of Miguel and Dolores Venegas at their sixtieth wedding anniversary celebration in 1979.
