Description
"Featured in the Malibu Times in 1957, the following is taken from that article on this paper: 'Dale Smith, 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Smith of Malibu Park. In the past year, he and his Chestnut Arab, Tezshean, have won more points in local shows than any other Malibu rider, and has won the high point trophy donated by the Malibu Riders Club from the 1957 season. They also won Teenage and Grand Championship Trophies given by the Trancas Riders and Ropers. At the last horseshow (a national show) held at the Pan Pacific Auditorium in Los Angeles, Dale and his twin brother Darrol rode as matched pair color bearers from their Malibu Corral 23 of the Equestrian Trails, Inc., and Dale won ribbons while competing against top southern Californian riders. Both are students at SAMOHI [Santa Monica High School].' This photo was taken at a T.R.R. Meeting." complete;
