Description
Photograph of an exterior view of 522 1/2 9th Street, where a woman and child were killed in the fire, San Francisco, 1906. A wooden pathway leads through the rubble in the foreground to a slanted staircase which reaches a building at center. The building appears to be in tact, although its porch and the building to the immediate right of it are in shambles. Nothing remains of the building in the foreground on the right except a small part of a wooden frame. The brick building on the left appears to be unharmed.
