Description
This is a photo of John A. Sutter Jr., the son of John Sutter. Sutter Jr. first arrived in Sacramento in 1848 and is most known for his role as a city planner and developer for the City of Sacramento. He later sold all of the land he owned in Sacramento to Sam Brannan and a group of men. After selling the land and not having the burden of caring for it, he moved to Acapulco, Mexico. He is currently buried in the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery.
