The Grand Opening and Dedication of the Marin City Library at the Gateway Shopping Center, February 16, 1997. Pictured is Acting Assistant County Librarian Joseph Murphy, speaking at the podium. Behind him and to his right is pictured Marin County Supervisor Annette Rose. Established in 1942 in the Community Center building, the Marin City Library Branch has also been located in the Rosa Building, and the Manzanita Neighborhood Center.
