Private funeral services for famed comedian Joe E. Brown were held at Forest Lawn cemeteries on July 9, 1973. The casket bearing Mr. Brown's body lies at the base of a statue commemorating Capt. Don Evan Brown, a son who was killed in World War II. Mr. Brown died on July 6th after a long illness. Photograph dated July 9, 1973.
