Description
Photograph of northern California's historical Bret Harte cabin on Big Oak Flat Road, Mariposa (Toulumne?) County, ca.1910. The two-story residence appears to be in a state of disrepair. Parts of the structure, including some posts and roof structures, appear to be warped. Many of the boards on the side of the structure also appear to be warped and decayed. To the left and right, covered porches can be seen. A small wooden set of stairs also leads to a covered balcony at left. Small trees grow around the front of the structure. There is some discoloration all around the building. Large trees are visible in the background.
