Description
A June 15, 1900 Sacramento playbill for the great London, New York, and Los Angeles comedy success “Miss Hobbs” written by Jerome K. Jerome, and performed at the Clunie Theater.
In a review of “Miss Hobbs” from the Los Angeles Herald, dated April 29th 1900:
" “Miss Hobbs” brought new laurels to Annie Russell at the Lyceum, and everywhere on tour. And “The Only Way," taken from one of Dickens' stories, lifted Henry Miller to a star of the first magnitude and charmed a multitude of playgoers. Every one of those dramas dealt with normal, consistent and clean phases of human motive and action."
