Description: St. Francis Dam in San Francisquito Canyon near Saugus was completed in 1926 and failed in 1928. It was part of the Owens Valley Aqueduct System. This post-failure photograph shows men working in a field of broken trees, wagons and other debris attempting to clear it away. A caterpillar tractor is visible on the right side.
