Description
Photograph of Arroyo Seco Road in Pasadena, ca.1910. Men, women and children stand to either side of the unpaved road that dips into the valley while a horse stands in the background. A manmade ledge, on whose railing people are leaning, extends out from the left side of the road, while a stone wall helps create a second tier to the right. Hills are visible in the background. This would later become the location for the Rose Bowl.
