The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003. Spectators watch the leading Los Angeles Marathon runners traveling south on Rossmore Avenue in the rain. The El Royale apartment building is present on the left and the apartment structure located at 410 North Rossmore is on the right. Located at 450 North Rossmore and built in 1920 by William Douglas Lee in a French and Spanish colonial revival style, El Royale has nine stories, a penthouse and is a Los Angeles Historical-Cultural Monument.
