Description
Charles Handy article on changing organization culture. Handy states that his study uses the concept of "organisation culture" as a way of drawing together many of the different strands of contingency theory. It attempts to show how different cultures will thrive better in differing circumstances and argues for cultural consistency within an organization as a whole. Lastly, the research offers ways in which management can determine the appropriate culture for each part of the organization, measure it, and recognize what needs to be changed.
