Description
Image of the beach and coastal highway (which later became Pacific Coast Highway) in Pacific Palisades, California. Tents are seen on the canyon hillsides and people can be seen on the beach. The remains of the Long Wharf stone jetty can be seen at the upper part of the beach.
This is a copy negative (a photograph of another photograph). "Beach, Pacific Palisades, Calif."--text, on image. Title transcribed from item; date devised by cataloger based on style of automobiles and the undeveloped land around the remains of the Long Wharf; the Lighthouse Bathhouse was built there in 1927.
