Description
The late Irving G. Thalberg and his family...from a photograph taken shortly before the tragic death of the brilliant Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer executive. The romance of Thalberg and Norma Shearer was one of the happiest in Hollywood and their marriage a perfect union. It was blessed by Irving, Jr., six, and Katherine, one. Thalberg's untimely passing came at the height of his career, when his "Romeo and Juliet," starring Miss Shearer and Leslie Howard, had been universally acclaimed a history making motion picture.
