Description
Camp Sacramento, pictured here in the 1920s, held a reputation for being one of the finest municipally-operated summer camps in the country. Set at 6,500 feet within a 40-acre site known as Sayles Flat, the camp opened in July 1921 with 30 cabins and a central dining hall/lodge. The original weekly rate for adults at the camp $16.25.
