A baseball ticket scalper--the first one convicted under a new law protecting the grounds around the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum--today ran into a judicial curve in Municipal Court. Municipal Judge Parks Stillwell fined George Sherman Dewey, 54, retired restaurant worker, $100 or the alternative of 20 days in jail. Dewey was convicted by a jury of selling a $3.50 box seat ticket for $5 outside the Coliseum at a Dodger-Giant night game. Photo dated: July 10, 1961.
