Description
Photograph article dated May 18, 1963 partially reads, "Defense appropriations for Valley industries will begin to level off in the near future. Assistant Secretary of Defense Norman S. Paul said Friday. Paul told a press conference at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City that the leveling off of defense spending in the Valley does not mean the Valley will lose contracts. Manpower in the Defense Department is Paul's primary assignment, and he said one of the major problems facing the armed forces is the competition for qualified men."
