Description
"Spedalske udenfor sin by. Pastor Rosaas og s.Sina til venstre" ("Leprous outside their area. Pastor Rosaas and nurse Sina to the left"). Ambohipiantrana was built of several "cities" and this one was called Tanambao.
Standing to the left: Thorkild Guttormsen Rosaas, a missionary at Madagascar 1869-1907, has a grieving ribbon on his helmet. His daughters Theodora died on March 6, 1900, and Johanna on May 23, 1905 Standing behind him nurse Sina Loeken. She was a missionary at Madagascar 1900-1934.
