Photograph caption dated November 17, 1947 reads, "Floyd Mallory, 44 (arrow), talks to officer as firemen carry the body of Mrs. June S. Walker, 35, from her home at 1141 Kipling Avenue, after a mysterious fire. Mallory, who admitted he lived with Mrs. Walker in the house, was taken into technical custody for questioning."
