Attributed to Carleton Watkins - reasonably certain Library's collection of mammoth prints printed from negatives by Watkins.
Dry rubble dam built in 1870's by Milton Mining and Water Company in Nevada County.
View 1 (2010-0661). Shows reservoir in process of filling, buildings on right. Watkins no. 501 -- view 2 (2010-0662). View from distance. Watkins no. 502.
Also have negative: no. 5439 (4x5 in.) for 2010-0661; and, no. 9558 (70 mm) for 2010-0662.
