Description
Negative shows a group of students in a sitting room in Scotty's Castle.
Built between 1922 and 1931, Scotty's Castle, or Death Valley Ranch, is a "two-story Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival style villa located in the Grapevine Mountains of northern Death Valley in Death Valley National Park." From: "Scotty's Castle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia," http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotty%27s_Castle (accessed 4/24/12). "Walter Scott, Death Valley Scotty, convinced everyone that he had built the castle with money from his rich secret mines in the area. Albert Mussey Johnson actually built the house as a vacation getaway for himself and his wife Bessie."
