To the right of City Hall is vacant land waiting for construction to begin on the new Federal Courthouse and United States Post Office building. Across from City Hall is the Hall of Records. The Hall of Justice is next to a partially graded hill which still contains houses on top.; Los Angeles City Hall was designed by John and Donald Parkinson, John C. Austin, and Albert C. Martin, and was completed in 1928.
